Recognised jab record list updated

The Government announced that from September 22, it will accept vaccination records issued by Iran, Chile and New Zealand as recognised vaccination records for Hong Kong residents returning from Group A specified places.   Hong Kong residents holding vaccination records issued by the relevant authorities of these places in the prescribed formats can board a flight for Hong Kong from Group A specified places. The vaccines administered to the travellers must be those recognised by the Government.   Although Chile and New Zealand are currently not classified as a Group A specified place, the Government explained that the recognition arrangements will enable Hong Kong residents holding vaccination records issued by the two countries in the prescribed format to return to Hong Kong from Group A specified places.   Additionally, the Government said it will accept the vaccination records issued by Albania, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Israel, Monaco, Morocco and Panama as recognised vaccination records from September 22.   This follows the European Union’s recent announcement of recognising the vaccination records issued by those seven places as being equivalent to vaccination records issued by EU member states under the EU Digital COVID Certificate mechanism.   The Government announced earlier that it accepts vaccination records recognised under the mechanism as recognised vaccination records required for the purpose of boarding flights for Hong Kong from high-risk Group A specified places.   Click here for the updated list of places that are accepted for issuing recognised vaccination records.
