HK backs sustainability reporting: CE

16 COVID-19 cases recorded

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 16 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 13 are locally transmitted.   Among the local cases, five have unknown sources of infection.   One of the unlinked cases involves a worker at the Hong Kong International Airport third runway construction site, who was working on the automated people mover and baggage handling system tunnels on Airport Island.   The more than 30 people who work with the patient will be placed under quarantine, while several hundred other workers on the same project will undergo compulsory testing.   Three other unlinked cases involve a real estate agent working in North Point, a computer programmer working in Tsim Sha Tsui and a worker at Kings Wing Plaza in Sha Tin. The remaining unlinked patient is retired.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
