HK reports 13 COVID-19 cases

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 13 additional COVID-19 cases, 12 of which are locally transmitted.   Among the local cases, three have unknown sources of infection.   One of the unlinked cases involves a 16-year-old student. He developed dizziness on February 23 and last went to school on the same date.   The other two unlinked cases involve a saleswoman aged 34 and a 62-year-old male quality control worker. The saleswoman last attended work on February 18, while the man last worked on February 24.       A total of 203 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, including 166 local cases of which 70 are from unknown sources.        In view of the latest epidemic developments on the Mainland, the arrangement to provide specimen collection containers to inbound travellers arriving via land boundary control points who have been to Shaanxi in the past 14 days will be cancelled from tomorrow.   These travellers, if they are not exempted, are subject to compulsory quarantine for 14 days at a designated place upon arrival in Hong Kong.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
